# Referral program

Refer helodata through your referral link and earn **10% commission on the order amount, with no cap**. The commission is withdrawable as cash, or you can spend it on helodata.

## How it works

1. **Settings → Referrals** → copy your referral link (`helodata.com/?ref=YOUR_CODE`).
2. Share it with a team that might want helodata.
3. When they sign up via your link and place an order, you earn 10% commission on their order amount.
4. The commission lands in your referral account — withdraw it or spend it on helodata.

There's no cap on how many referrals you can make.

## Eligibility

Referrals are credited only when:

* The referee is a **new** helodata account (not a returning user)
* The referee's payment isn't refunded, charged back, or disputed
* The referral was made transparently (no fake signups, incentivized clicks, or bot traffic)

We monitor for abuse. Suspicious referrals trigger a manual review; confirmed abuse can result in clawback of commission and termination of program access. We don't surprise anyone with this — if we have concerns, you'll hear from us first.

## Tracking

**Settings → Referrals** shows:

* Total referrals (clicked your link)
* Signups (created accounts)
* Commission earned (lifetime + pending)

Status flow per referral:

## Receiving commission

* Each qualifying referral: **10% commission** on the order amount
* Withdraw it as cash or spend it on helodata
* Email notification when it lands

## Referral codes for content / video / community

If you have a podcast, YouTube channel, newsletter, or Discord — same link works. We don't gate based on audience size.

For larger creators (>10k engaged audience), we offer:

* A higher commission rate (by negotiation)
* Custom landing pages with your branding
* Tracking dashboard with deeper metrics

## Affiliate program (for businesses)

Distinct from referrals — affiliates earn ongoing revenue share (10–20% of referee spend for 12 months) under a partnership agreement.

If this longer-term revenue share fits you better, apply via **Settings → Affiliate program → Apply**.

## What you can NOT do

To keep the program clean:

* **Self-referrals** (you signing up your own second account)
* **Coupon-site listings** (helodata isn't a coupon brand)
* **Spam** (mass email, paid social ads with our brand keywords)
* **Bait-and-switch landing pages** (the referral URL must resolve to helodata.com)

These violate the program terms and result in disqualification.

## Tax

Referral commission is withdrawable, so it may count as reportable income in your jurisdiction. We don't file or issue tax forms on your behalf — talk to your accountant if you accumulate large amounts.

## FAQ

**Can I refer myself?** No. Self-referrals are blocked at signup.

**Does the commission expire?** Commission already credited doesn't expire. *Pending* commission expires 90 days after the referee's signup if they haven't ordered yet.

**Can I withdraw it as cash?** Yes — you can withdraw it or spend it on helodata.

**What if the referee asks for a refund?** The corresponding commission is reversed.
